For the last 8 years, really - ever since I met Jill - we’ve gotten together several times a year to do a show called “The Jill & Julia Show.” I told stories and she sang songs. The stories and songs were thematically linked. It was such a joy. We were joined regularly by Dave Carpenter, an exquisite bass player who became the glue of our show.

We were a tight threesome for many years.

However, we’ve stopped performing. At least for the time being. Mostly this is because I’m concentrating exclusively on writing. Additionally, my harranging-style of parenting requires that I’m home all the time.

But.

You have not missed The Jill & Julia Show! In January of 2013 we filmed one of our shows, at a venue we perfromed at regularly: Space, in Evanston, IL. A good time was had by all.
