Gary Marcus, a psychology professor at NYU, has a great book out which is of interest for free thinkers. You would hope that more people would think rationally. We all have the capacity to be rational thinkers but that is not the default mode for the human brain. We have to make an effort to think rationally and train out brains to do so. Marcus explains why in his book
